Hier is my huldeblyk aan hom.

Johan le Roux
groot nr. 1 op jou rug
skrummer, sterker as enige brug
‘n legende in jou eie tyd
terwyl jy “Beechies” kou en byt

‘n held vir my
selfs my pa ,kon jou nie onder kry
voels en eiertjies om te wys
altyd woorde om te prys

sjarmant met die skoner geslag
jou tuine altyd vol prag
‘n “smile” onder jou snor
“f..” jou geliefde knor

’n pa , oupa en man
voorbeeld by die kerk
repekteer by die werk
Le Roux was jou van

niks meer pyn en seer
baie by jou geleer
gaan jou so baie mis……………….

Ek het ‘n spesiale belang by plaas moorde!

Us or We

It is with utter disgust that I took notice of Julius Malema’s political haymaking, regarding the so-called Black Monday march, and his treats of future violence. Just as shocking is the “you tube“videos of certain white commentary, enforcing the notion that violence in future, between races are a foregone conclusion. The outrageous speeches and comments of Julius Malema should be handled with the contempt it deserves. He is a political animal that will sell his own soul, and I think he has, just to get a few more supporters. These people are on the periphery of the political spectrum, and should be handled by absolutely ignoring them. Giving them any form of attention is like petrol on a fire, ignore them and they will disappear like the mist before the sun.
I could not help but take notice of the age of the young white men posting “you tube” videos of themselves. It is clear to me that none of them has ever been in any form of armed conflict. To them I want to say, stop acting like a “pampoen”, stop thinking armed conflict is glamorous and the way to go! You’ve seen to many movies! If you want to know what a war is, read Deneys Reitz’s book “God does not forget”. That will give you some perception into what war really is, involving Afrikaners. It is not glamorous, neither is it an answer to our problems.
What is more important is to try to understand who “US “is. “US” has no color, creed, religion, sex or religion. “US” or “We” are the hard-working men and woman of this country, who all have the same goals in life. To be happy, to look after our families and children, to give them a future. The “US” or “We” all worry about the farmers being killed, however we also worry about the 19016 murders and 38600 rapes that took place in our country. The “US” or “We” worry about the corruption and stealing of the government, and the pathetic response towards anything the government touch. The “US” or “We” do not march in the streets, committing criminal acts, after listening to a Malema’s speech, the “US” or “We” are at work, or resting to be able to go to work. The “US” or “We” should start to acknowledge each other, even if we do not agree on anything, our goals are the same. Even if we do not look the same, we are still the “US” or “We” of this country.
30% of the people of South Africa is unemployed, they will follow anyone who promise them any chance of a better future. Going to a huge march, or going to a speech where you get a t-shirt and transport, is a lot better than your daily existence of poverty. These are the people Malema wants to support him, the ones who think the “status quo” of the haves and the have-nots will never change. They are the ones that beliefs Malema’s stories about land, because it is the only story they hear. The “US” or “We” should start getting of our chairs, and endeavor to change these people’s lives. We should endeavor to make them part of “US” or “We”.
I do believe in democracy, I do not believe in any form of racism or sexism. I do belief the “US” or “We” have a major task to empower the less fortunate than “US” or “We”. It is time to stop with our petty bullshit of old South African flags or organizing protest just for one color of people. The “US” or “We” should decide the future of this country not clown politicians from the whole of the political spectrum. The “US” or “We” do not have to agree on everything, however we should take hands, protest for the “US” or “We” causes and work to uplift all the South Africans in this wonderful country!

Choices

The last couple of weeks with all the comings and goings in the world, I found myself to be severely depressed, unhappy and extremely annoyed. However the last couple of days I  randomly  started talking to 2 colleagues of mine , they have a way of coping with all the bull shit around us , in similar yet very different ways . These 2 colleagues of mine cannot be more dissimilar, the on a lady of color, intelligent, well-traveled and with a very senior position. The other colleague, extremely capable, well-read and doing very important work, he is still white, male and in his 50’s.

My male colleague has summarized his way of thinking in the following way, he calls it the Universal Truths:
Everything is inherently unreliable
• Everything is impermanent
• Everything is uncontrollable

In other words, everything is transient, evanescent and inconstant. Therefore suffering is the result of resistance (reactivity) to the three truths. However you look at this and disagree with this, there is one thing that is not in discussion, that it is the truth. It is because of these truths, he decided not to have an opinion on the majority of issues that may confront him in his life. Because if you have an opinion or expectation, and as most things it turn out not to agree with yours or disappoint you, it leads to self-doubt and depression. He therefore lives with the notion, that if something do not directly impact on him, it is not important. To him, the way of life his wife and he chose, is the foundation of their happiness and self-worth. Something not to be decided by society, nor by politicians, nor by religion, but by themselves. They are therefore only accountable to themselves.

My female colleague summarized her way of thinking as follows, she will not surround herself with:

• Politics
• Bad news
• Will try to surround herself with good news and good people
• Only read things that can empower and better her as a human being
• Try to only see the beauty and good things around her

In other words, create a world around you that you and your family want to live in. Nobody around you will create this world for you, you have to create this world. A world where you feel safe and protected, where you are in charge with the kind of people, information and news you want to be part off. Where you are the architect of your universe. A way of living not to be decided by society, nor by politicians, nor by religion, but by themselves. They are therefore only accountable to themselves.

My first reaction to these similar yet different ways above mentioned individuals chose to lead their lives, was very foreign to me. Both these people are highly respected by me, and I seek their council on a daily basis on a wide array of topics. They seem quite “normal” to me. My first inclination was to think that it is impossible to lead a life “like an ostrich, with his head in the sand “. It is furthermore very important to have an opinion on everyone and everything. If you are not informed and do not stay on top of everything in your life, your community, your country and the world per say, how can you live in it.

Only after doing a lot of introspection, and thinking about how much of my life do I control, did these 2 individuals viewpoint start making sense to me.

If I think about my  life , it can be broken up in the following percentage points  worrying about my children , my country , my work and what my happen and things I cannot control , a “healthy” 80% . Enjoying life and being happy a “paltry” 20%. It is clear I am doing something wrong!

Probably the biggest worry, parents like Jacky and I have, is that we worry ourselves to death about our children, the youngest one Erik turning 21 in March. Sometimes I think I worry more about Erik’s studies, than he does. The truth is, I cannot make him study, and he has to decide what his future is. The same with Ruan, JC and Jampie, they are in control of their lives. We cannot keep anyone of them save nor can we control their actions or choices. Neither can we control their futures .We know that they know , we love them un-conditional and that there will always be a safe place for them in our house. That should be enough for us!

In South Africa, with all our challenges with crime, a corrupt government and millions of other things, it has become important to me, to stay on top of every little piece of news, I can lay my hands on. It in turn has made me neurotic, depressed and downright scared. But why, why do I keep surrounding myself with negative information all the time. Yes, it is the truth that is what the press, politicians and criminals bring to the table, but I choose to eat it. If I surround myself with more positive things, more positive news and a more positive outlook, I think I will feel much better. It does not mean I should be ignorant, but as the lady said to me, people in conversation still keeps her informed of what is important, what she decides to do with that information is the point.

Although I do not do earth shattering important work. I am extremely hard working with my own code of ethical behavior that cannot be faulted by anyone. However I am still worried all the time if the quality of me and my fellow employees work is still good enough. If an incident will not change that impression. The truth is I cannot work 24 hours a day, I have a very limited amount of control of what I may and may not do, and that can really make an impact on anyone. So why do I worry? I should do my job to the best of my ability, because I can control it, I cannot control anything else.

Let’s not forget the big one, money! Will there be enough money to finish the children’s schooling, help JC and Ruan? Will we have enough money to pay all our accounts? Will we have enough money to …………? The truth is, we will never have enough money. This is not the problem, the problem is that we are not happy enough how fortunate we are to have a job and some money. More than the majority of people in this country. It is important that we give more and worry less!

So I can go on and on, the truth is, that this may be my story, and that everyone has their own story. With percentage markers that are unique to them. However, all of us are the architects of our own lives.

The lives the 2 mentioned people chose for themselves, may not be the right fit for Jacky and me. However what is exceedingly important, is that we , must take more control of our lives, re-assess and come up with our own ideology of what makes us happy. Change the paradigm from a percentage point of 20% happy and 80% worry, to as close as 100% happy as we can.

In the end we are the architects of our life!

The Abyss: Flight or fight

I know now, how it feels to stand in an abyss, the dictionary describes an abyss as “a deep or seemingly bottomless chasm”. A place where the sun never shines, soundless, filled with desperation, tears and endless misery. Feelings of desperation, sadness and bitterness in waves of total powerlessness threaten to drag me lower and lower, in a torrent of hopelessness.

This week a paradigm shift has taken place in me. An incident where a good man, saw no other way out of debt other than to commit a serious crime; and that was only the start. It was followed by crime statistics that tell us 19016 people have been killed the past year in our country. At least a 1000 of them farmers and their work colleagues in the rural areas, this week alone 4 farmers were killed .Every day in South Africa 52 human beings are killed. 39828 woman were raped, 9 % of them girls 9 years and younger. Our president calls hard working, qualified people of color, that broke their backs to better themselves with everything against them, “clever blacks”! Our finance minister’s speech is of such quality that there is no stopping towards the mad rush of “junk status”. Our President is using tax payer money to fight in court, not to appoint a Commission of Enquiry into State Capture. I can continue page after page .The bad news is barreling towards a cliff of misery, with no chance of escape.

I do not have the answers as how to fix this mess. It is a bit above my pay grade and intellectual level; but I have no respect for any politician or political party, because they are the scum of the earth, and will do anything to get hold of power. I however do believe in democracy and freedom, and nobody will in my name allow nearly 20 000 people to get killed and nearly 40 000 women to get raped, 4000 of them little girls. When will we people, with no regards towards color, creed or faith, stop pointing fingers at each other, but take hands and say, not in my name will this continue! It does not make sense to wait until we as an entity (middle class) are bankrupt, where the South African rand is useless and millions of Rands in the form of savings are not worth anything. It cannot or will not happen? Bullshit – just look over the fence (no real fence it was stolen) towards our neighbour Zimbabwe. They were once called the “bread basket “of Africa. Now they do not even have their own currency but trade with bonds and can draw $50 American daily at an ATM, if it is working.

When will we stop thinking only about our existence? If we do not help the poor and the under privileged to get out of the cauldron of poverty and no hope, we will not have a future ourselves. I do not have enough money, neither do I want to immigrate. South Africa is my home! Politicians can say what they want, my ancestors and I sweated tears and our blood here – I will not leave. But we should stop bitching and start to fight, not with guns, but with our voices, votes and Rands! It is time for companies big and small to say stop, this cannot go on, change needs to take place. If we do nothing now, everybody will suffer in future. Every company, every citizen will suffer if we do not say enough is enough now. We are like an ostrich with its head in the sand, we cannot distance ourselves quickly enough from any form of controversy that addresses the government and the state of our country. However there is still enough money not to rock the boat too much, so let’s stay quiet. Good, stay silent! But in future I promise you – not in the long term but in the medium to short term there will not be an economy to sustain your business. Will you then have the balls to say to your employees, shareholders and your bosses, sorry, we should have addressed this years ago.

A special word to my fellow Afrikaners: The way we are going on now is wrong, looking the other way, hoping it will not happen to you, and clinging to your material possessions like homes, vehicles and savings – they will not save you. If you love this country like I do, it is time to be brave. We were the first and only generation ever that had to fight a war for our parents and our grandparents. As 17, 18 and 19 years old we had to defend a political ideology that we did not vote for and were brainwashed by a political monster called the National Party and the Broederbond. Are we going to do the same with our children? If we do nothing, if we do not stand up now and start fighting, our children will be forced to in future, and I am not willing to let that happen. At least we still have some money and resources now, there is a good chance our children will have nothing!

Not with guns and violence or joining such ridiculous organizations like the “ Boerelegioen” etc. It is time to take our pride back, with protest, with the threat of withholding taxes and doing it if need be. We should climb off our holy pedestal and start to march everywhere. We should close roads, and stop the country if needs be – for days on an end. I know this is not our way, however we have no other choice, if we do not stand up for ourselves, nobody else will. Nobody is coming to save us from across our borders, the DA cannot save your country, the only one who can save your country is you. We do not want to be the government, all we ask for is a fair share and a country that is properly governed.

It is mind boggling to me that 1 000 000 people, mostly Afrikaners, can come together on Ollie Le Roux’s farm and pray, but those same people cannot come together and fight for their future. Do you really believe God will come down and save this country? God saves those who want to save themselves! Those same people are too scared to write or say something that may not be politically correct. We are too scared of losing our jobs, we all have families to care for and to look after! I am scared too. But the truth is if we do not stand up and fight for our country now, there will be no country for our children to live in, in future.

To my friends with your foreign passport in you back pocket whether it be Irish, English, Israeli or Portuguese. You know who I am talking about. You have been my friends for years, I love you, some of you are like mentors to me. It is time to either shape up, or shut up and go. I am “gatvol” that you think you have the right to enrich yourself in my country with the safety of an overseas passport in your back pocket. Either burn your overseas passport and fight with us to save this country or take your stuff and go. To any other Afrikaners who want to go, pack up and go, South Africa has never been a place for the soft of soul. Unfortunately “slapgatte” in the form of “hendsoppers” and traitors have always been part and parcel of our history, please join them.

I would like to call out to the well-known South Africans who live all over the world and in the big security estates in our country .The Johann Rupert, Nicky Oppenheimer, Elon Musk , Francois Pienaar , Ernie Els , Retief Goosen , Andre P Brink ,Raymond Ackerman ,Mark Shuttleworth, Pierre Vos ,Angus Buchan , Fanie de Villiers , Allan Donald and all the other well-known Afrikaners and South Africans that drank at the fountain of South Africa . Your people are being killed at a rate of 52 per day, 50% of the citizens are living below the poverty line. We do not need money, we need your voices and leadership, or are you now a citizen of the world? Then shame on you I hope you can live with yourself.

The biggest shout out goes to the management of Afri Forum and Kallie Kriel personally. Firstly, thank you for all the South Africans you have fought for since 2006, but your job should only start now, with 200 000 members you are the only South African nonpolitical citizenship organization with a well-established infra structure in South Africa. We need leadership, I beg you, please stand up and help us, the masses are calling your name, and we need you to play a much bigger role in the leadership of your country.

I want everybody to please take note of the following:
• Democracy is the only way to go
• We do not need a change of government , we need a chance of people in that government
• We need people who wants to work for the people in this country , and be accountable to them
• Violence in any form and especially armed conflict should never be allowed.
• Protest should be non-violent at all times
• However it is every citizens right , or more importantly their duty to stand up against theft , thuggery and a corrupt government
• It is the duty of government to keep its citizens safe , it is failing in its task and should be held accountable
• Protest should be in the form of peaceful citizen disobedience

It is a time to be brave in this country, I know this document is not politically correct. However it is the truth. How can I ask my son and daughter to stay in this country, to be brave in this country and to help those who are poor and with no hope of a better future , if I am not brave myself? This country is my home, and it is worth fighting for!

Entitlement

It is a fact that crime is a social economic problem, I do agree that the gap between the have and the have not’s (thanks to apartheid), is a lot higher in our country than the norm for other countries in the world. After having a look at the latest crime statistics, 2016/2017, it is clear that there is a huge difference in what I call subsistence crime (stealing to make a living), and killing and raping for whatever reason. In the past book year, there were 19016 murders, 39828 rapes and 140956 robberies with aggravated circumstances. These figures cannot be explained away by mentioning social economic problems. You do not kill, rob or rape because you are hungry!

For those of you who want to bring up the us and them excuse, shame on you, the color of skin in crime is not of importance. You want to bring me a robber, rapist and murderer of color, I will bring you a white robber, rapist and murderer. To take it further, what color is in charge of creating the markets for robbed vehicles, televisions etc. Who of you have not bought something “that fell of the back-end of a truck”? So no, this is our problem, this problem cannot be blamed on the color of your skin.

To me the action of robbing, raping or murdering are in the same category. The perpetrator takes something away with violence, which does not belong to him or her. In the case of murder – a person’s life, in the case of rape – a person’s soul and in the case of robbery – a person’s goods. The perpetrator by committing such an act, plays God. He/she entitles themselves to something they are not worthy off, and that I believe is the sickness of our time. Entitlement

More and more normal people believe they are entitled to be treated in a certain way. That entitlement value is earned because of a lot of things, let me mention a few. Money, status, gender, ethnicity etc. People believe these values earn them the right to be treated in a certain way, and if they are not treated in that way it gives them the right to act as they see fit. Normally in a huge rage, with the accompanying vocabulary attached. Is it not the same entitlement that is found in murder, robbery and rape? I will kill you , I am entitled to your life , because you stand between me and something I believe I am entitled to , and or because you have not treated me in a manner to which I am entitled to be treated , I have the right to take your life. I will rape you, because that gives me power over you, I am entitled to that power over you. I will rob you of your goods, because I am entitled to it. This has become the way some of us live, although we have not earned it, we are entitled to it. The way we believe how we should be treated and what we should have, and have power over, is part and parcel of the same sickness in our society, namely entitlement.

As a society we have changed, for the worse! We have become animals, we kill, rape and rob because we are entitled to it. We believe we should be treated in a certain way not because of good manners and respect we earned, but because we are entitled to it.

The truth of the matter is so far from it, nobody is entitled to anything. If you want to be treated in a certain way, treat others in that way, if you want respect, treat other with respect. If you like living, treat another’s right to live with the same dignity. If you need power over a woman, rape will not give it to you – earn it if it is so important to you. If you want something, robbery is the way of the coward, pull your finger out and work your ass off, and you will get it!

The more we indulge the notion of entitlement, the more we are on the slippery slope to nowhere ……………………………………………………………………………………….

Mad and Sad

I do not know if I should “moer“ somebody or cry my eyes out? How many more farmers must die on our farms? When is enough, enough? When will all of us get our priorities straight, stop arguing about the Spur and Jacaranda, and start thinking about the number of people that have died over the last 20 years on our farms and on out roads?

This is not about race (people of colour have also died on the farms), this is not about politics, this is not about religion; this is about entitlement. This is about people who decide to take without asking, people who will kill without thinking, and people who do not care. People who have no humanity in them, people who live with a now ideology, no dreams and no feelings.

I do not know who to be angry at, the government? They are a democratically chosen government, end of the story! They do not care! Believe it if you want to or not, they will still be in government after 2020 – that is democracy! I know Afriforum has fought hard and is still fighting hard. But what about the rest of us? We have so much to say, but we do so little – as long as it does not happen to our parents, friends or acquaintances on the farms.

We will probably get a million people together in the middle of nowhere and pray! That we can do as has been proven, but let me tell you something, God only helps those who help themselves. At Bloedrivier, we prayed and then fought, in the second boer war we prayed and we fought! During the bush war we prayed and fought and I am sure “UMKONTO WE SIZWE” also prayed before doing their fighting. The bottom line is, action is needed, and praying is only an auxiliary part of that action.

From 1945 to 1994, for 5 decades, the white population in this country was ruled by fear of the Communist threat, preached to in Christian churches and told by their government that “apartheid” was the way to go. Today most of us know we were lied to; we were fed propaganda by a bull shitting machine called the National Party and the Broederbond. We are ashamed of the political thinking of our grandparents, parents and ourselves, and yes, it did leave deep scars of racism. It will take a lot longer than 23 years to get rid of it. Unfortunately, as has been proven in the USA, some people will stay racist forever. But is it really as important as we make it out to be? Yes, it is important, it must be punished both ways, however is that as important as human lives? No, it is not…………………………….

The endemic death of the farmers on our farms, the daily killing of passengers in un- road worthy minibus taxis by unlicensed murderous drivers, the house robberies with huge amounts of violence, the killing of drivers in hijacked vehicles; these are important subjects, these are problems evolving in the social fabric of all of us, whatever your creed, culture, race or religion is.

Who do we not hear enough about wonderful projects of charity, nation building and friendship across the so called racial divide. Let me tell you there are thousands of them – from some that try to better themselves, to those who try to help others, to those who help animals, to drivers of colour who stop on busy highways to help a white woman change a wheel. I can write a book about the love between humans that crosses the racial divide!

We are fed a diet of racism which goes both ways, in the press, in our conversations around our braai fires and in our daily interaction with each other. This, while important and praise worthy incidents are not mentioned or discussed and no action is taken against atrocities committed.

Let us start giving attention to worthy subjects and problems! Let’s not only pray, but let’s take action against the killing of all our people whatever the circumstances are. Let us give the gossip, politics and incidents of attention sought by people, what they deserve.

Let us work to heal, save and help each other !

We are better than what is currently going on – I really do believe that!

I was such a useless father, when I was a young man. How great is it, to be a proper grandfather. This week-end was the birthday of my oldest son Ruan, and his son Barry. Purely by accident they share the same birthday. It was one of the greatest week- ends in a long time.

To be quite honest, I think you get 3 kinds of grandfathers, the ones that are not involved, the ones that are involved but see themselves as part of the parents, and then my kind. I tried to have as much fun with my grandson as humanely possible, I spoil him rotten and then give him to his parents to raise!

I’ve always said, that no human being knows what love is, until he holds his own children. That may be true , however to hold your grandchild , blood or not , I have found to be one of the most exhilarating moments of my life .This only grows the older they get , and it is fantastic when they start communicating and having fun with you. Barry was 2 on Sunday, and of course I belief he is on his way to be the cleverest, most sporting, handsome young man in the world. (Other grandparent properly also belief this, but they have not seen Barry lol).

He is absolutely amazing , we played miniature cars, we played on the trampoline , we played with the ball , we played with all his new toys , we help to bake the cupcakes for school ( we cleaned the bowls) and so much more ! It was fantastic, feeling that little hand round my finger, pulling me to the next activity!

As the majority of you will know, I am not the most streamlined, I would call my shape more round than square. It took a huge effort to get out of bed on Monday, and I still want to inquire from my nearly doctor daughter, about a couple of muscles, I did not know, I have. But it was worth every painful jolt I experience now.

I also learned another live lesson, great grandchildren are not born they are made. Ruan and Elaine has done the most amazing job with this little boy. The teacher in Elaine has made him so sharp, he gobbles up the educational toys for far older children and according to me, is nearly ready to go to university. Ruan is a 100% hands one improvement on me, and helps with everything, it was so special to see the bond between him and Barry, when he bathed Barry! They have made my little grandson a happy, confident and talented 2 year old boy.

As I told you, the greatest 2 year old in the world!

I love you my boy!

South African rugby is broken

The following piece was written by a very good friend , fellow coach and rugby lover !

  • South African rugby is broken, when a 9-year-old school boy is told by his father that he will buy him a PlayStation game for every try that he scores, forgetting that the guys outside him has also trained every afternoon in the hope of getting the ball.
  • South African rugby is broken, because a dad shouts next to the field to his under 11 son, break that bastard’s neck, fueling hatred between kids, that are not equipped with the necessary emotional tools of dealing with either being the bully or the victim.
  • South African rugby is broken, when a father forces a coach to keep an injured 12-year-old boy on the field so the father can live his lost ambitions through his broken son.
  • South African rugby is broken ,if Macro schools “buy” up 13-year-old rural school kids in the name of “greater exposure”, often growing up in boarding schools, to return to their parents 5 years later, no better off rugby wise, but with a serious void in their relationship with their parents.
  • South African rugby is broken, because 16 year old start taking all sorts of substances in order to get the edge on opposition, with total disregard for their future heath, unknown to the coaching staff or maybe not?
  • South African rugby is broken, if provincial sides are mainly made of macro schools, totally neglecting the raw talent of smaller school boys, that are not playing for one of the top 50 schools in the country.
  • South African rugby is broken, when a quota system at Craven week overlooks the talent of a white boy born in 2000. Paying for apartheid, even though he had no part in it. Resulting in teams that are noncompetitive on national levels.
  • South African rugby is broken ,when you have more talented players playing overseas than locally and that your predicament with your local selection is that you can’t pick a better team, because all the talent has left.
  • South African rugby is broken ,when a once powerhouse country like South Africa has nothing new to offer in terms of innovation and still plays a brand of rugby 10 years ago.

Combine all of the above, and then no one can be surprised that we lost 57 – 0 to the All Blacks. considering this don’t be surprised if we lose 31 – 15 to Australia.

I predict we will never get it right and that we will slowly lose our beloved rugby and we will soon be at the bottom of the ranking tables, thrown out of super rugby and Castle championship and ultimately not qualify to play in the world cup.

Watch this space. I can predict the future……………………..

Porsche,Hate,Baggage

Yesterday’s incident on London road between the so-called Porsche driver and the elderly man driving a Range Rover is my bone of contention today. The merits of the incident, and the subsequent action of participants, was disappointing to say the least, but not in my realm of commentary.

It is amazing how yesterday’s blog finds relevant in the actions as mentioned. What I do want to give my 5 cents worth, is the state of the psyche of the population in South Africa and the majority of comments on Facebook regarding the incident.

The psyche of the population of South Africa is currently a powder keg that is waiting to explode. The absolute frustration and irritation of the majority of the population, to have a better way of life is being excasibated by corrupt politicians who redirect the pressure onto “Apartheid” and white people. It is only a matter of time before this fallacy is seen for what it is , however in the meantime , the opportunity of nation building and the idea of working for the common good, is going out of the window. The minorities in the population is frustrated and irritated by being the scape goats of the government, while corruption is at an all-time high. This flood of cash ,going into the hands of government cadres and corrupt officials , have to be replenished by money from the South African population , gathered trough tax. Unfortunately the majority of tax is paid by the minority. The same minority who is told they stole the country, are only guests here, and if they do not like it, to take their stuff and go!

I can continue into infinity, proving both above mentioned notions and thousands more. However the point is, there is an unnatural amount of anger in our population today! This anger will not be addressed by the relevant parties, it is to their advantage. What else to do then? I really do belief, if we do not change as a people, the alternative is too scary to think about.

If you read my blog a couple of times , you will know that I advocate tolerance , conversation, argument and above all love as the only answers to learn to live in a civilized society! Part of this process as I advocated yesterday was getting rid of the baggage (hate)! I want to challenge you as the reader to seriously think about, acting and living in such a manner, that the temperature of anger in our societies cools down.

A great starting point will be to get rid of your baggage!

The comments made on Facebook, regarding top mentioned incident, was shocking the least. Comments was made from the genitalia size of the Porsche driver to serious threats of physical assault (still a criminal offence in statutory law). My personal opinion is, that if you write comments like that on a Facebook article, you actions are of the same nature as mentioned in the top incident!

My Mother taught me, if you cannot same something good about somebody, rather not say anything at all. Do we really think leaving dirty messages, threats etc. is proper behavior? Or is it the anonymity of Facebook that “inspire” us to behave in such a shameful way? Or is it this boiling anger in us, getting an opportunity to release?
Let the baggage go!

Well take the following from me: Baggage=Hate=Anger Road rage is the mother of baggage!

Let the baggage go ,so what if the person showed you a middle finger, so what if the taxi drove right in front of you , so what if there is a bumper bashing. Are you really so important that nobody can drive in front of you, or pass you on the left side of the road nearly bumping you. Leave it, get home safely to your loved ones and your family. Or are you in such a bad mood at home, when you are supposed to be relaxed.

Leave the baggage in the boot, where it belongs.
